Pakistan-US Economic Cooperation Grows as US Investors Visit Karachi
A senior American business delegation visited Karachi for two days after reviewing potential investment opportunities and business partnerships in Pakistan under the facilitation of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
On the final day of the visit, the delegation held discussions with Sindh’s provincial ministers and officials for future investment prospects and development projects. The talks highlighted potential investment opportunities in major sectors included industry, energy, farming, textiles, mining, healthcare services, and capital market opportunities.
During the briefing, the delegation was introduced to various strategic projects including industrial parks, Kati Bunder Port, NED Tech Park, and the proposed Sindh International Financial Center. The delegation was also informed about the Sindh Business One Stop Shop, aimed at providing investors with easier access to business services and improving the investment, process.
The US delegation showed interest in Pakistan’s improving investment environment and the growing opportunities available across different sectors. Business leaders also appreciated SIFC’s efforts in creating investor confidence, ensuring policy continuity, and promoting ease of doing business.
The delegation’s visit inscriptions extra step in the direction of increasing Pakistan-US economic relations, with both countries likely to discover new ways for trade, investment, and business expansion through constant assistance.
