CDF Asim Munir lauds veterans’ vital role in national service

Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir hosted a reception for Pakistan Army veterans on the occasion of Independence Day.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), former army chiefs and a large number of retired military officers and personnel attended the reception.

Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the services and contributions of veterans to the defence of the country. He also appreciated their role in strengthening national resilience.

ISPR said that the experience and guidance of veterans remain a valuable institutional asset in dealing with the country’s complex security environment.

The veterans expressed confidence in the Army’s leadership and reaffirmed their continued support in dealing with emerging security challenges.

They also pledged to continue playing their role in promoting national unity, peace and prosperity.
