Nawaz Sharif Congratulates AJK Election Winners, Calls for Political Tolerance

PML-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has congratulated those who won the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, saying political differences should never be turned into personal hostility. Addressing a gathering, he said his party had always treated political opponents with respect and maintained that political disagreement should remain within the bounds of democratic tolerance.

Nawaz Sharif said the people of Azad Kashmir should remain the central focus of political efforts and recalled that the Pakistan Peoples Party had previously governed the region. He also said that the foundations of development in Punjab were laid during Shehbaz Sharif’s tenure and that Maryam Nawaz had continued and expanded those efforts.

The PML-N president stressed that the welfare and development of the people of Azad Kashmir should be given priority, calling for greater financial resources for the region. He also advocated providing laptops and scholarships to students in Azad Kashmir, saying increased investment in education and public welfare was essential for the region’s future.
