Balochistan Home Minister’s Convoy Comes Under Attack in Mastung

16 August, 2026 10:46

In the Mastung area of Balochistan, terrorists attacked the convoy of Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Lango. The Home Minister was safe in the firing of the terrorists, but 6 police personnel assigned to his security were injured.

This terrorist incident took place at the Kund Imrani location in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung. It has been reported that Balochistan Home Minister Ziaullah Lango was returning to Quetta after attending the Independence Day ceremony at the office of the Deputy Commissioner Kalat when the terrorists attacked him.

After this incident, Mir Ziaullah Lango said in a statement that the attackers were hiding in the gardens on both sides of the road and started heavy firing as soon as the convoy reached this area.

The police squad immediately retaliated. The exchange of fire continued for about 20 minutes. He said that they cannot be intimidated by such attacks, the government, police and security agencies will continue operations against peace-loving elements.

He further said that anti-state elements and their alleged external patrons will not succeed in their ambitions. Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have reiterated their resolve to completely eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the beloved homeland.

The Prime Minister met the President at the Presidential Palace. The Prime Minister briefed him on the historic Mecca Defense Agreement and paid tribute to the professional capabilities of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in operations against the terrorists of Fitna-ul-Hindustan and Fitna-ul-Kharij, including internal and external affairs.

Terrorists are continuously carrying out operations in the two provinces of Pakistan, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. On the night of July 23 and 24, terrorists also carried out a suicide attack on the joint Manjhi Khel check post of security personnel in Tank district of southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which 15 soldiers were martyred, 12 Khawarij who escaped from the timely action of the security forces were killed. The terrorists also targeted the police force near Quetta.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are the target of terrorists. Terrorists are regularly targeting security forces, civilian government officials, officials and common people in both provinces. Recently, a sessions judge and his security guard were martyred in Mastung district of Balochistan.

Terrorist operations have taken place in Balochistan before this. Security forces are continuing intelligence-based operations in Balochistan. A few days ago, 4 terrorists of Fitna-ul-Hindustan were killed in Khad Kocha area of Mastung.

Several suspects involved in facilitating terrorists were also arrested. This makes it clear that Mastung is a special target of terrorists and they also get facilitation here.

It cannot be denied that the terrorists’ weapons are coming from Afghanistan and India all over Pakistan, especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Where do the terrorists of Fitna-ul-Kharij and Fitna-ul-Hindustan get trained, where do they get shelter and where do they get money from, these are no longer hidden facts.

It may be recalled that a few weeks ago, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing the participants of the “Balochistan National Workshop” in Islamabad, had clearly said that India is behind terrorism in Pakistan. In addition, he had urged the Taliban government of Afghanistan not to allow its territory to be used against Pakistan.

The purpose of all this is to say that terrorism is being used as a weapon in Pakistan and the terrorist groups have the full support of Afghanistan and India. The ministers of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan keep visiting India and the kind of statements they make there also make it clear that Afghanistan and India are adopting a similar and common strategy to harm Pakistan.

A minister of Afghanistan has even said that the DNA of Indians and Afghans is the same. Now I don’t know how great a biologist and DNA expert he was that he made this statement so easily, even though there is no single race or nationality living in Afghanistan.

Similarly, there are no castes or nationalities in India. Now the thing to think about is that the Afghan Taliban minister has adopted this view on the basis of some research.

Similarly, a senior Indian minister and BJP leader Rajnath Singh had also said some time ago that the BJP and the Taliban have the same agenda. This shows how much these two countries are jealous of Pakistan and Pakistan is right to understand that the common agenda of both India and Afghanistan is to harm Pakistan.

Indian authorities provide technical and financial assistance to the Taliban government of Afghanistan, while the Taliban government of Afghanistan has opened its territory as a sanctuary for terrorist groups.

Everyone knows that Pakistan’s enemies are providing resources to terrorists, the Taliban regime of Afghanistan is well aware of where the training camps of terrorist organizations on its territory are located and are also fully functioning.

Pakistan has repeatedly informed the Afghan interim government in this regard, but the desired results could not be achieved. If we look at it this way, it is also clear that the Taliban regime of Afghanistan is fully aware of what the terrorists are doing.

Leaders of TTP, BLA and their sister organizations in Afghanistan engage in illegal trade

The way Pakistan is fighting terrorism, hardly any other country in the world has fought such a long and patient war. Despite financial and economic difficulties, Pakistan is busy uprooting terrorists and at the same time is continuing the journey of development of science and technology.

The facilitators of terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are also seeing their end. Along with developing the agricultural economy in Balochistan, work is also underway on industrial development.

On the one hand, Pakistan is fighting domestic terrorists, while on the other hand, India and Afghanistan have adopted a common strategy against Pakistan. Despite thousands of sacrifices, our brave forces and security agencies are fighting a full-fledged war against terrorism and God willing, one day they will succeed and the enemy will face failure.
