Security forces have continued successful intelligence-based operations against Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, according to security sources.
Security forces conducted intelligence-based operations in South Waziristan and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as Sasol area of Khuzdar district in Balochistan.
According to security sources, a total of 11 terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan were killed during the operations.
In Bannu, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation against Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists, killing two terrorists and recovering weapons and ammunition from their possession.
The security forces also destroyed a terrorist hideout containing explosive material during the operation, security sources said.
Meanwhile, an intelligence-based operation was conducted in Ladha area of South Waziristan following information about the presence of terrorists. Five Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists were killed during the operation.
Security sources said the movement of the terrorists was detected in time, after which security forces surrounded their position and carried out an effective operation.
In Balochistan’s Khuzdar district, four Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists were killed during an operation in Sasol, according to security sources.
The terrorists were effectively targeted with the assistance of quadcopters, the sources said.
Security forces ensured that the safety of local residents remained a priority during all the operations and that no harm was caused to the civilian population.
Security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism from the country and continue operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision until the complete eradication of the menace of terrorism.
