Traffic Jams Hit Major Roads Across Karachi

KARACHI: Several major roads in Karachi faced heavy traffic congestion, causing difficulties for commuters. Traffic jams were reported on Shahrah-e-Faisal, M.A. Jinnah Road, Saddar and Abdullah Haroon Road.

Severe congestion was also seen around the Arts Council and nearby areas, while traffic was slow on Club Road, Mauripur Road, Tower and around City Court.

Traffic pressure was reported at Press Club Chowrangi, Shaheen Complex and PIDC as well.

University Road, Rashid Minhas Road and Sohrab Goth also experienced heavy traffic.

After the traffic jams, some commuters started travelling on the wrong side of the road, further creating problems for traffic flow.

Traffic officials said the congestion was mainly caused by peak-hour traffic.
