Security forces conducted operations in several districts of Balochistan, killing 21 terrorists, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). In the Nokkacha area of Chagai, terrorists had established an illegal checkpoint on the N-40 highway, where they were allegedly extorting money from passengers and attempting to disrupt traffic. Security forces launched an operation against the militants, killing 11 terrorists at the scene and recovering a large quantity of weapons and ammunition.
In another operation, security forces foiled an attack by terrorists on the Customs House at Ziarat Cross in Pishin. ISPR said 10 terrorists involved in the attack were killed during the security forces’ retaliatory action, while fleeing militants were also targeted. The military described the attack as part of a nexus between terrorism and criminal activities, saying the attackers sought to prevent customs officials from carrying out their lawful duties.
ISPR said six security personnel, including two officers, along with a Customs Department official, were Martyred during the exchange of fire. The military paid tribute to the personnel who sacrificed their lives in defense of the country and said security forces remain determined to eliminate remaining terrorists from the area. Measures are continuing to protect local communities and major national highways, while the counterterrorism campaign under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam will continue with full force. Security forces and law-enforcement agencies reiterated their resolve to eliminate terrorism from the province.
