Pakistan Navy Launches Major Maritime Exercise SEASPARK-2026 in Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan Navy’s major maritime exercise SEASPARK-2026 has commenced in Karachi, showcasing the force’s operational preparedness and ability to respond to conventional and emerging maritime threats.

The Naval Chief presided over the opening brief of the exercise, accompanied by senior officers from across Pakistan’s Armed Forces.

The exercise is designed to rigorously assess and enhance Pakistan Navy’s combat readiness through the integration of a wide range of capabilities, including warships, submarines, aircraft, unmanned systems, Marines and Special Forces, alongside elements from the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force.

Prior to the opening of the exercise, the Chief of the Naval Staff visited Pakistan Navy Fleet units and reviewed ongoing operational activities.

Addressing officers and sailors, the Naval Chief stressed that the rapidly evolving security environment requires uncompromising operational readiness, stronger tri-service integration, adaptability and effectiveness across both physical and information domains.

He emphasised the need for Pakistan’s Armed Forces to remain prepared to respond effectively to emerging challenges while maintaining a high level of operational coordination.

A key objective of Exercise SEASPARK-2026 is to rehearse Multi-Domain Operations by integrating capabilities across the maritime, air, land, cyber and space-enabled domains.

The exercise also places significant emphasis on operations in the information environment, enabling participating forces to develop the ability to secure decisive advantages in the information battlespace while maintaining close coordination with kinetic operations at sea.

The integration of conventional naval assets with emerging technologies and joint-service capabilities is intended to strengthen Pakistan’s ability to operate effectively in an increasingly complex and contested security environment.

Through SEASPARK-2026, Pakistan Navy is testing command, control, coordination and operational responses across multiple domains, reinforcing the importance of jointness and technological adaptability in modern warfare.
