11 Indian-Sponsored Terrorists Killed in Kharan, Washuk Operations: ISPR

QUETTA: Security forces conducted intelligence-based operations in Kharan and Washuk districts of Balochistan on September 6 and 7, 2026, killing 11 terrorists affiliated with what Pakistan describes as the Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

On September 6, security forces intercepted a group of terrorists attempting to establish a roadblock in Kharan and disrupt local traffic.

According to ISPR, troops responded promptly and engaged the terrorists, killing eight Indian-sponsored terrorists during the operation.

In a separate operation on September 7, security forces launched a deliberately planned intelligence-based operation in Washuk following reports of a terrorist presence.

During the operation, troops located and dismantled a terrorist hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, three terrorists were killed.

Security forces also recovered approximately 2.9 tonnes of explosives from the hideout.

According to ISPR, the explosives were intended for the preparation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), highlighting the potential threat posed by the terrorist network to civilians and security personnel.

Following the operations, sanitisation activities are continuing in the area to locate and eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists who may still be present.

ISPR said security forces and law-enforcement agencies remain determined to continue the counterterrorism campaign under the government’s Azm-e-Istehkam vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
