KP Youth Support New Provinces for Better Governance

Young people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have also expressed support for the creation of new provinces on administrative grounds.

People from different sections of society are openly discussing the creation of smaller provinces and administrative units in the country.

KP youth said new provinces could help ensure a fair distribution of resources and equal development across different areas.

Speaking about the creation of new provinces, students said the 18th Amendment gave provinces greater autonomy, but governance problems had not been fully resolved.

One student said the provinces are very large in terms of area and that smaller provinces could improve governance.

Another student said Punjab is a clear example of a very large province where remote areas do not always receive attention according to their needs.

The students said new provinces could provide people with better opportunities to improve their lives.

They added that governments in smaller provinces could focus more closely on their respective areas.

The students also said smaller provinces could reduce the administrative burden on governments and help address corruption.
