KP Citizens Raise Concerns Over Security Situation and Political Protests

Citizens in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have expressed concern over the province’s security situation and the focus of the provincial government on protests and political activities.

Residents interviewed over the deteriorating situation said they were facing problems in several areas, including education, healthcare and the road network.

Some citizens also called on the federal government to take action against the provincial administration and said they believed the current leadership should be removed from office.

They further alleged that provocative political speeches were contributing to polarization and unrest and accused political figures of encouraging hostility toward state institutions.

The criticism comes amid continued security concerns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and heightened political tensions surrounding an ongoing protest march. Federal and provincial officials have recently discussed the province’s law-and-order situation and the potential security risks associated with the march.

The provincial government and its political leadership have their own positions on the ongoing political dispute, while the federal government has stressed the need to maintain security and public order.
