Security Forces Foil Arms Smuggling Attempt From Afghanistan

FC Balochistan and security forces have foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons and ammunition from Afghanistan during a joint operation under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.

As per security sources, the forces invaded a warehouse in Saranan, located in Pishin district, and grabbed a vehicle carrying a large amount of weapons and ammunition.

The recovered weapons included three rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launchers, four light machine guns, one machine gun, hand grenades, rockets and a substantial quantity of ammunition, the sources said.

Security officials said the intelligence-based operation had successfully disrupted a plan to transport ammunition from Afghanistan into the area.

Following the raid, security forces launched a search operation to determine whether any militant elements were present in the surrounding area.

Security forces and law enforcement agencies reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Balochistan and eliminating terrorism from the region.
