Pakistan Condemns Houthi Militia Attacks on Saudi Arabia, Reaffirms Support

Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan has condemned Houthi militia attacks on Saudi Arabia and expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Kingdom.

Speaking at a weekly media briefing in Islamabad, Khan reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to protecting Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He also said Pakistan’s commitment to peace should not be mistaken for weakness, warning that any aggression against the country would receive a strong response.

Rejecting India’s provocative statements threatening aggression against Pakistan, Khan said such irresponsible remarks reflected India’s mindset of seeking regional dominance.

He said India’s aggressive behaviour was creating risks for peace and stability in South Asia. He added that Pakistan had demonstrated its ability and determination to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity by responding strongly to Indian aggression in May last year.

Khan said Pakistan was fully prepared to counter any reckless aggression and would respond firmly to any hostile action.

He urged India to learn from last year’s experience, abandon its aggressive behaviour and stop making dangerous statements. He stressed that responsible behaviour was necessary to achieve lasting peace in the region.
