LAHORE: It is mandatory for citizens to obtain a driving license from the Traffic Police department before taking their vehicles onto the roads, as violations can result in heavy fines.
Driving licenses for operating cars or other vehicles are issued to individuals who successfully pass both the practical and theoretical tests conducted by the traffic police in Lahore and other parts of Punjab.
Applicants must pay a specified fee, which varies depending on the type of license they are applying for. Traffic officials have the authority to request the license from drivers at any time for verification, and can issue tickets or challans if the driver is found without the document.
