‘PBS fare kept at Rs50 for Karachiites’ convenience’

The Sindh Transport Department has introduced the automated fare collection system for the People’s Bus Service.

According to GTV, Provincial Minister for Transport Sharjeel Memon while addressing a ceremony said that the transport sector of Sindh is going to be modernized as travel is being made easier for the people with modern technology and automated system. There will be transparency in fare collection, he added.

He provincial minister said that the Sindh government introduced electric buses for the first time in Pakistan. He added that only Rs50 fare was kept for the convenience of the people of Karachi. In such inflation, 30 to 35 kilometers are being traveled for Rs50. The Sindh government is offering citizens to travel 30 to 35 kilometers for just Rs50. Sharjeel said that all the transport projects would be completed soon. Yellow Line BRT is a huge project, he added. We are solving the transport problems across Sindh including Karachi as People’s Bus Service will be run in more districts of the province as well.
