PDM issues moderate to heavy rains in Karachi

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday issued rain alert for Karachi and other parts of Sindh on the coming weekend — April 13 and 14.

As per the alert, different areas of Sindh including Sukkur and Larkana are also expected to witness moderate to heavy rainfall in the aforementioned duration.

A series of westerly winds continue to affect the country’s upper region and the same system will be entering the southern and eastern regions of the country today, said Met office in its forecast.

The weather department said that Karachi will continue to remain hot and humid in the next 24 hours with temperature may reach a maximum high of 36°C.

Currently, the humidity in the air is 75% and the winds are blowing from the west at a speed of 11 kilometres per hour.
