PM to visit Iran today to attend Raisi’s funeral prayers

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will leave for Iran today to  attend the funeral prayers of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and others.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei will lead the funeral prayers of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian and others in Tehran. Ibrahim Raisi will be laid to rest in Mashhad on Thursday.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend the funeral prayers of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and his colleagues who died in a helicopter accident.

According to diplomatic sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will go to Tehran on a one-day visit.

They added the funeral prayer and burial of the Iranian president and his colleagues who died in the helicopter accident will be held on the premises of Imam Ali Raza’s mausoleum in Mashhad.

Yesterday, the funeral prayers of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and his colleagues were also performed in the city of Qom, Iran.

It should be noted that after the death of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in a helicopter accident, Vice President Mohammad Mokhbar has taken over the presidential duties. Regular presidential elections will be held in Iran on June 28.
