Poonam Pandey faces social media backlash after death stunt

Renowned model, actor and reality TV star, Poonam Pandey, is facing backlash on social media after she death stunt publicity gimmick backfired.

The 32-year-old’s team claimed on Friday that the model died of cervical cancer. However, on Saturday the model-actor appeared on Instagram stating that ‘she is alive’.

The news of her death was confirmed by her team, who also shared a post on her official Instagram accounts.

Moreover, not only social media users, but also celebrities also join hands in slamming her.

She said, “I am alive. I didn’t die of cervical cancer. Unfortunately, I can’t say that about those hundreds and thousands of women who have lost their lives because of cervical cancer.”

Sharing the video, Poonam wrote, “I feel compelled to share something significant with you all – I am here, alive. Cervical Cancer didn’t claim me, but tragically, it has claimed the lives of thousands of women who stemmed from a lack of knowledge on how to tackle this disease.”

Soon after the video, she became the top trend on X and where user said, “As expected! All of this was a publicity stunt! All the people who were questioning her were right!”
