President of Pakistan calls for enhanced air and sea links with Iraq.

He expressed these views, while talking to Pakistan’s Ambassador designate to Iraq Ahmad Amjad Ali who called on him in Islamabad on Monday.

Dr. Arif Alvi stressed the need to promote trade, economic, cultural and people to people contacts with brotherly country Iraq.

He asked the Ambassador designate to play his role in promoting trade between the two countries.

Besides, the President also asked him to play role fo facilitating Pakistani community in Iraq including pilgrims.

He said air and sea links need to be enhanced besides strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries.

Arif Alvi said the Ambassador designate should work for the promotion of high level exchanges between Pakistan and Iraq.
