PTI founder Imran Khan has once again refused to meet Sher Afzal Marwat at the Adiala Jail today.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala jail, Sher Afzal Marwat has blamed PTI leaders Shibli Faraz and Omar Ayub for obstructing his meeting with the PTI founder. He refused to work under the leadership of Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz.

“I will come to Adiala Jail the day when the PTI founder will himself call me,” Sher Afzal Marwat said, adding that he does not believe in monopoly of anyone in PTI.

Yesterday too, when Sher Afzal Marwat had reached the Adiala Jail, the PTI founder refused to meet him and asked him to go out.

Jail authorities had formally allowed Marwat to enter the jail for a meeting. The PTI founder refused to meet and talk to Sher Afzal Marwat. At which, the PTI leader returned from the jail without a meeting.

On the other hand, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar told the media that Sher Afzal was not allowed to meet the party’s founder today.

Shoaib Shaheen told GTV News that he can only say that the meeting did not take place today.

Earlier in February, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had issued a show-cause notice to Sher Afzal Marwat and asked for an “unconditional apology”.

The notice was issued for his comment regarding former party chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan the previous night.

Speaking on a local TV show, Marwat had said that Gohar was “removed” as the chairman over “unsatisfactory” performance.

However, the party took notice of his comments as said that his statement was against party policy and it caused significant distress that could not be tolerated.

“You are required to tender an unconditional apology within two days. If your reply is unsatisfactory or you do not respond, further action will be taken as per party policy and rules,” the letter sent by PTI’s central secretariat said.
