PTI govt decides scholarship programme for madaris students in KP – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The KP government has decided to start scholarship programme for madaris students across the province on the pattern of Rehmatul lil Alameen scholarship.

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed the Auqaf and Religious Affairs department to take necessary steps.

He issued these directives during a meeting of Auqaf and Religious Affairs department.

Furthermore, he directed to initiate scholarship programme for students of registered seminaries in the province.

While briefing the meeting, officials concerned said existing laws of the Auqaf department need amendment.

The amendments aim for the better utilization and management of these properties.

They are also reviewing present commercial rents to bring it at par with the market rate.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister directed that all affairs of the Auqaf department should run systematically on modern lines.

Moreover, he stressed the need of upholding transparency in all matters.
