PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has started mulling taking help from Maulana Fazlur Rehman in formation of provincial government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after Jamaat-e-Islami’s refusal.

According to sources, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has some seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and PTI is likely to form a coalition government with JUI-F in KP.

PTI sources said that Maulana Fazl and we are on the same page on election-related concerns. In the meeting between PTI and JUI-F yesterday, the message of PTI founder was also conveyed to Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

It may be remembered that yesterday a PTI delegation headed by Asad Qaiser met Maulana Fazlur Rehman. During the meeting, the PTI sought votes from JUI-F for prime ministerial candidate Omar Ayub.

PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat also said in a statement that the party’s founder has given a message that Maulana’s name should be mentioned in the press conference and said that we are ready to talk to him.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ali Muhammad Khan has said that talks should be held with all political parties but not for making an alliance.

Speaking on a local TV show, Ali Muhammad Khan said that if PTI sits with the PML-N or PPP in the government, then the ideology of the party will be negated.

The PTI founder has clear instructions not to form government together with PML-N or PPP.

About contacting PPP, he said that there was no regular contact with PPP. There is coordination between the parties, maybe there was contact with PPP but not with me. Governments come and go, but if ideology goes once, it will never come back.
