Rigged assembly not acceptable: Fazl

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that rigged assembly is not acceptable anywhere, adding now decisions will be made in the field and not in the house.

While addressing a rally in Peshawar, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that we have come to silence you. This public movement will not be limited to rallies. There will be arguments and threats will not work, he added.

He said that the caravan of our movement will move forward and if the matter goes to the jails, then we will fill the jails, but we are not ready to live as slaves.

Fazl further said that fake assemblies are not acceptable in Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as these are not our representative. The stage we are sitting on is representative, he added.

In his address, he said that FATA integration was decided in Nawaz Sharif’s government. I said integration is not right but our words were not accepted, he reminded.

He questioned: “American have been telling me why you are against the merger. We opposed the merger, today I ask where are the people of FATA?”

Fazl reminded it was said that FATA will be given Rs1000 billion in 10 years, but 8 years have passed they have not given even Rs100 billion.

In his speech, the JUI-F chief said that the fate of people of FATA is hanged in balance. I had spoken about the rights of Pashtuns and Balochs, we do not fight without reason. My decisions are being written in the history, he added.
