Sadiq urges UK to stop Israel from Rafah ground ops

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has demanded from his own government to stop Israel from ground operation in Rafah.

According to foreign media, there will be many testimonies from the Israeli operation in Rafah and Britain should immediately stop the supply of weapons to Israel. There is an urgent need for a change in the approach of the British government, he added.

Earlier, the newly-elected mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, expressed his gratitude to the voters and said that they want the London government to ban the sale of arms to Israel as the people are worried about the bloodshed in Gaza.

He said that the time has come for Prime Minister Rishi Sonak to announce general elections. The people of London are excited about the change in government. The citizens of London recognize our 8-year performance, he added.

Sadiq Khan is a son of Pakistani parents. It is an honour for him to be elected as the mayor of a city like London for the third time in a row in a western country.
