Seven picnickers died after coaster turns turtle in Karachi’s Mauripur

At least seven picnickers were died and several others injured when a coaster they were travelling in turned turtle in Mauripur area here on Sunday.

As per details, the ill-fated coaster van overturned in Mauripur area, killing seven people and injuring several others. Sources said that the van was heading towards a picnic spot when it met accident. The exact cause of the accident is remained unconfirmed with few eyewitnesses blame over-speeding for the incident.

Police said that the dead included three women and as many as children and a man. The dead and the injured, including driver of the coaster, have been shifted to a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, four cops were died and three others injured when one of the police van of SSP Kashmore’s escort met an accident on the Indus Highway today.

According to details, four policemen died and three others injured when the tie rod of their van broken down. The ill-fated van was part of the SSP Kashmore’s escort that met the accident on the Indus Highway.

The dead and the injured were rushed to nearby hospital.

Earlier, it has been emerged that petrol pumps and offices have been established on the land given to Sindh Police in the name of welfare.

GTV has obtained details of the Sindh High Court case related to commercial activities on land allotted to the Sindh Police for welfare purpose.

As per details, four petrol pumps, 1,397 shops were built across the province on the land given to Sindh Police. According to IGP’s report submitted to the Sindh High Court, 338 flats, 37 warehouses and 162 offices were also built on the land of Sindh Police. Commercial activities are carried out at a total of 32 places across the province.
