Sindh Auqaf Department notifies reopening of the shrines in the province.

Earlier, it closed down shrines for devotees owing to an upsurge in coronavirus cases amid the third wave of the pandemic.

Furthermore, the notification advised the devotees to follow the SOPs such as to perform ablution from their homes before arriving at the shrines.

Besides, it asked them to wear masks and keeping social distance along with the use of hand sanitizers.

However, Sindh govt banned entry of children and elderly citizens in shrines.

Moreover, it also clarified that there would be no free-meals (Langar) distribution in premises of shrines in the province.

Meanwhile, the provincial government has also decided to reopen indoor gyms, swimming pools and amusement parks across the province from today.

On the other hand, NCOC reported 914 new cases of Coronavirus infection during 24 hours.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 44,496 tests conducted yesterday.

That brought to fore 914 positive cases.  The positivity ratio remained 2.05 per cent.

However, Coronavirus infection cases decline and situation of pandemic improves in the country.

Moreover, the NCOC also confirmed 20 more deaths during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the death toll due to pandemic has reached 22,231 in the country.
