Pakistani cricketers don’t rest in fear of losing place

10 March, 2024 13:16

Pakistan’s all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, who is part of the PSL team Islamabad United, has said that nowadays cricket has become so much that the players need to rest.

Faheem Ashraf said that at some point a machine also has to rest, the human body is also like that. I someone is playing 10 matches and then does hard gym then he is doing wrong for himself.

He said that the players should also decide what to play and what not to play. But this does not happen in Pakistan because the players often think that if we rest, someone will take our place.

Ashraf said that if someone is a good performer, no one can replace him.

He said that so far only two matches have been good, I am not satisfied with my performance. Wherever I get a chance I try to give 100 per cent.

To a question, Faheem Ashraf said that he has been with the Islamabad United team for 7 years. There is a lot of trust in each other as even if I do something wrong, the team give me confidence.

The national all-rounder said that the relationship of trust between the players and the management is good for the team. In life, if someone gives the trust that we are together, it makes a big difference. There are some people who extend support only to show but in fact they don’t.

To another question, Faheem Ashraf said that if someone is playing franchise cricket, it means that he is a good player. When the team says that Rana will do it, it gives a confidence.
