Pakistan face Canada in must-win match today

After losing to India in the T20 World Cup, Pakistan will play their third match today against Canada in New York.
Not only Pakistan need to win their next two matches to stay “in” the event, but America also require defeats against India and Ireland.
If the US somehow managed to get one more point, the event would be over for Pakistan in the first round.
It should be noted that Pakistan’s chances to reach the Super 8 stage are tied to the United States losing both of their matches against India and Ireland.
After the embarrassing defeat in two matches, Pakistan team’s access to the Super 8 has become dependent on other teams as it has become necessary for the national team to win the remaining two matches and America to lose both matches.
Yesterday, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has hinted at major changes in the national team.
Speaking to media, the PCB chief said that initially it seemed a minor surgery would suffice. However, after the worst performance against India, it is very clear that a major surgery is required.
