England suffer huge blow ahead of Pakistan Tests

England has suffered a massive blow ahead of important three-match Test series against Pakistan as they look to book a place in ICC World Test Championship final at Lord’s.
According to reports, their premier pacer Mark Wood has been sidelined due to a severe elbow injury. He won’t be able to take part in any format for the rest of the year.
The scans show that he has a “bone stress injury of the right elbow”.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed that Wood’s injury will require an extended period of rest and rehabilitation.
His absence leaves a significant gap in the bowling lineup, and the team will need to find a suitable replacement to fill his shoes.
He is expected to make full recovery just in time for the ICC Champions Trophy next year.
Wood has missed the last two matches of the summer due to a thigh injury sustained during the first game of the series against Sri Lanka.
