Pakistan clinch Test series against England

Sajid Khan and Noman Ali proved clinical as Pakistan defeated England in the third Test to claim the series 2-1 in Rawalpindi.

Noman claimed six wickets while Sajid bagged four in the second innings as the visitors were bowled out for just 112 with Pakistan needing only 36 runs to win.

Saim Ayub was trapped leg before wicket after scoring just eight, while captain Shan Masood smashed 23 off just six deliveries to seal the victory by nine wickets.

This victory is significant for Pakistan, as it was their first Test series win at home after 3.5 years.

The last time they secured a home Test series was against South Africa in January 2021.

England began their second innings on day three, with 24 runs on the scoreboard and seven wickets in hand.

However, Pakistan spinners had other plans, as Noman dismissing Brook for 26 runs and sent captain Ben Stokes back for just 3 runs.

The wickets continued to tumble, with the sixth wicket falling at 75 runs when Jamie Smith was dismissed for just 3 runs off a delivery from Sajid Khan.

He then claimed prized slap of Joe Root, who scored 33.

Sajid added to the woes by dismissing Gus Atkinson at a total of 97 runs and Rehan Ahmed for 7 runs at 106. The final wicket fell when Nauman Ali claimed Jack Leach, who managed to score 10 runs.
