Fakhar part ways with his agent amid Babar tweet controversy

Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman has parted ways with his agent following Babar Azam tweet controversy.

The development was confirmed by Gohar Zaman, his elder brother on social platform X, stating that “Fakhar Zaman will not be part of SAYA Corps from today”.

The SAYA Corps also represents new white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan and former captain Babar Azam.

The decision allegedly stems from a social media post that was reportedly made at an inopportune time by Fakhar’s agent, the report suggest.

The timing of the post has put Fakhar in a difficult position and raised suspicions that the post was intended to benefit another cricketer at his expense.

It’s worth noting that Fakhar was dropped from the upcoming Australia tour and is facing a show cause notice for the aforementioned tweet.

Before the controversial tweet, Fakhar was one of the strong candidates to lead the limited-overs team.
