National Bank Stadium upgradation accelerates

The upgradation of the National Bank Cricket Stadium in Karachi is progressing rapidly in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, conducted an on-site visit to assess the project’s progress and inspect ongoing construction work.

During his visit, Chairman PCB reviewed the progress of the upgradation project, highlighting the need for adjustments to enhance spectators experience.

He directed that the scoreboard be installed at an elevated position, ensuring that fans can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the match.

Chairman also instructed that parking facilities be situated closer to the stadium for easier access, further enhancing convenience for attendees on match days.

Expressing his commitment to completing the project ahead of schedule, Chairman PCB emphasised the importance of working tirelessly to meet the timeline.

He remarked, “Top cricketing teams from around the world are set to arrive for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and hosting this tournament is a matter of great pride for Pakistan.”

Chairman issued directives to Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) officials, stressing timely completion of the construction work. The FWO team presented a detailed briefing on the progress of the upgradation work, assuring that all efforts are in place to deliver on time.

Advisor Aamir Mir, Manager of the National Bank Cricket Stadium Arshad Khan, and senior officials from FWO were also present during the visit.
