Pakistan reach Hong Kong Sixes final after win against Australia
Pakistan have moved into the final of the Hing Kong Sixes after beating Australia in the semi-final today.
Batting aggressively, all-rounder Asif Ali scored 32 with the help of 5 towering sixes while Muhammad Akhlaq made 32 with 3 sixes and as many fours.
Pakistan achieved the target of 108 for the loss of 2 wickets.
Earlier on Saturday, The Green Shirts secured their place into the semi-final of the ongoing Hong Kong Sixes cup after beating South Africa by 18 runs in the quarter final match.
Pakistan batting first had a mixed start to their innings as in-form batters Faheem Ashraf and Asif Ali perished for a golden duck in the first over.
The Men in Green scored 105-3 in the given six overs.
In reply, South Africa only managed to score 88-4 despite Evan Jones’ blitz.
Pakistan are unbeaten in the ongoing event of the Hong Kong Super Sixes. The Green Shirts started their campaign with a 13-run victory over the United Arab Emirates and later beating arch-rivals India by six wickets.
