Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan has opened up about Pakistan’s playing XI for the first T20I against Australia in Brisbane.

The three-match series will kick-off in Brisbane from Thursday.

While speaking to media, Mohammad Rizwan looked quite optimistic about Pakistan’s preparations, but kept the tomorrow’s playing XI a secret.

“We have discussed the playing XI, which we have kept it a secret. There are things which I’ve, and those which I can’t share at this moment,” he told reporters in Brisbane.

When asked about the opening combination, he said, “things that are working for us will obviously be retained, but there are some department we need improvement.”

Moreover, he also shed light in adapting to Australian conditions.

“You always face challenges, when you play international cricket. Obviously conditions are not easy for us, as we are playing in Australia,” he said. “However, what we are doing is working on our flaws and some things that I’ve in my mind, which I will gradually pass to the team as per the demand and requirement.”

Apart from that, he said that the team will miss experienced all-rounder Imad Wasim, pacer Mohammad Amir and middle-order batters Ifthikhar Ahmed, and Fakhar Zaman.

According to him, it is not easy to fill their gap as they have served Pakistan brilliantly for years.
