Sufyan Muqeem creates history in T20Is
Spinner Sufyan Muqeem has created history on Tuesday as Pakistan bowled out Zimbabwe for just 57 in second T20I at the Queens Sports Club today (Tuesday).
Sufyan Muqeem registered figures of five wickets for just three runs in 2.4 overs, which are the best in T20Is for a Pakistani bowler. He surpassed legendary Umar Gul, who claimed figures of five wickets for six runs.
Interestingly, Gul achieved the feat twice, first against New Zealand in 2009 T20 World Cup semifinal, and then in 2013 against South Africa.
Currently, Malaysia’s Cesar Idris holds the records for the best-ever figures in T20Is which are seven for 8 runs.
He is followed by Singapore’s H Bhardwaj, who took six wickets for three runs.
It should be noted that Zimbabwe have given Pakistan a target of 58 runs to win the second T20 match.
