Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has hinted at potential retirement stating that ‘there is nothing left to say’ about his playing career.

Sarfaraz Ahmed will be mentoring Dolphins in the Champions T20 Cup, which will be played in the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

During the pretournament pressers in Rawalpindi, the 2017 Champions Trophy winning captain shed light on his furtur.

“Look, as far as my career is concerned. I think, I don’t need to say anything. Nothing is left. I know what you are waiting for and it will happen soon,” Sarfaraz told reporters.

The 37-year-old wicketkeeper batter, who made his debut in 2007, has represented Pakistan in 54 Tests, 117 ODI and 61 T20Is.

He scored 6164 runs across all formats and scored six centuries and 32 half-centuries.

Moreover, Sarfaraz won two ICC tournaments, the U19 World Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy.

Sarfaraz Ahmed captained Pakistan to 11 consecutive T20I series victory, the most by a captain in the format.

His last appearance for the green shirts came in a three-match away Test series against Australia last year.

He hasn’t played a white-ball game for Pakistan back in November 2021.
