PSL10 draft: Date and order of picks revealed
The highly-anticipated Pakistan Super League season 10 (PSL10) draft is set to take place in the first week of January, revealed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday.
Curbing the rumours of organizing the ceremony abroad, the board revealed that it will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium, with player selections beginning at 6 PM.
All six PSL franchises will announce their player retentions before the draft.
The previous draft was held at the National Cricket Academy, making this year’s venue shift significant.
Big names like, Steve Smith, David Warner, and Kane Williamson are expected to be part of the draw.
However, a recent decision by the England Cricket Board (ECB) will prevent players under red-ball contracts, such as Jason Roy, from participating.
The draft process will allow each team to select players from various categories, including Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Emerging players, with the first pick going to Multan Sultans.
