Sarfaraz pens heartfelt note on Imad, Amir retirement
Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has once again won hearts of million after inking an emotional note for Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim.
Sarfaraz Ahmed in his message recalled the best times with the retired teammates including an U19 World Cup triumph involving Imad Wasim and Champions Trophy final spell of Mohammad Amir.
He expressed his well wishes to his former teammates.
Both Amir and Wasim had announced their returns to international cricket earlier this year, making themselves available for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, held in the West Indies and the USA.
After the World Cup, both players were not considered for Pakistan’s white-ball assignments, leading them to step away from international cricket.
Sarfaraz shared a heartfelt message on his official Instagram, offering his best wishes to the duo.
“Happy retirement to both my teammates and brothers, best of luck for your future,” Sarfaraz posted.
“Maddy [Imad] and I share great memories, winning [the] U19 World Cup final and Champions Trophy final. [Amir is a] Champion bowler and champion player, I will never forget your world-class spell in [the] Champions Trophy final game. Be happy wherever you are with lots of prayers.”
