Second Test: West Indies beat Pakistan for first time in 35 years
West Indies, led by Kraigg Brathwaite, have beat Pakistan by 120-run to level the two-match series 1-1 at the Multan Cricket Stadium. Chasing a target of 254, Pakistan were all out for 133. In the second innings, Jomel Warrican bagged 5 wickets for 27 to lead the spin storm to trounce the Green Shirts and level the series 1-1.
Yesterday, West Indies set a daunting target of 254 for Pakistan. For West Indies, Warrican finished bagged nine wickets in the match to give Pakistan a taste of their own medicine on spin-friendly pitches.
In November 1990, West Indies had won a Test in Pakistan the last time in Faisalabad. Later, They had gone winless on their 1997 and 2006 tours.
Resuming on 76-4, the Green Shirt’s hopes of win rested on Saud Shakeel but Kevin Sinclair had the left-hander caught in the slip for 13.
Babar Azam remained top-scorer with 31 while Mohammad Rizwan scored 25.
