PCB terms Gaddafi Stadium’s upgrade as World record for completion time

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lauded the quick upgradation of Gaddafi Stadium as a unique record in the cricket world.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi today visited the stadium and inspected the finishing work on various of the stadium. He visited hospitality boxes and ensured the quality of the railings placed in front of the boxes.
He directed that the finishing work must be completed at the earliest while maintaining high standards.
The PCB chief said the stadium’s completion is imminent, adding Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate it on February 7.
Hee further said that spectators attending the Champions Trophy matches will enjoy the newly upgraded facilities of the stadium.
The PCB has officially recognized the 99 per cent completion of Gaddafi Stadium in only 110 days as a world record.
The stadium, after the renovation, will now accommodate an additional 10,000 spectators, bringing the total seating capacity to 34,000, allowing more fans to enjoy the matches live.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced that the newly-renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will be inaugurated in the first week of February, ahead of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.
