Pakistan’s likely XI for tri-series opener against New Zealand
The highly-anticipated tri-nation series featuring hosts Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa is set to commence from today (Saturday) at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
All three teams are in the Punjab’s capital for the series. In the series opener, Pakistan will face New Zealand.
Reports suggest that star batter Babar Azam would open the batting with Fakhar Zaman for the Men in Green.
The middle order would feature captain Mohammad Rizwan, Kamran Ghulam, Tayyab Tahir, Salman Ali Agha, and Khushdil Shah.
In the bowling attack, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and spinner Abrar Ahmed are likely to feature.
Usman Khan, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Hasnain, and Faheem Ashraf are unlikely to play in the opening game.
