Stop calling me king, Babar Azam appeals to media

Babar Azam has appealed to his fans and the media to stop calling him ‘king’.
Talking after the victory of the national team against South Africa in the tri-series, Babar Azam said that whenever he goes to bat, he thinks that he has to score well, unfortunately he is not able to finish. Today, Rizwan and Salman have played well, such performance gives confidence in the team, he added.
The star batter said that stop calling him king as he is not a king right now.
Opening is a new role for me, it is a responsibility on the demand of the team, when the innings is settled, the game progresses and the pitch is assessed. I try to play well but after being set, I am not able to play a long innings, he added.
Babar Azam said that he talks to himself how to get out of this situation. What I have done before is the past, if I have been in the previous performance, I will not be able to perform further, what I did earlier is gone, the next day there is a new plan and a new mind set, when you cross the big total and succeed, it gives confidence, he further said.
