Ex-cricketer calls for Mohsin Naqvi resignation after Pakistan exit

Former batter Basit Ali called for the resignation of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi following Pakistan’s disappointed exit from the ICC Champions Trophy.
The former batter stated that if Pakistan cricket does not undergo surgery soon, the PCB Chairman should resign.
“We appreciate his efforts in revamping the grounds, but now it’s the Chairman’s responsibility,” he said. “The PCB Chairman pledged to fix the cricket structure, and this is the perfect time to make those changes.”
Basit warned that if Naqvi fails to take action against the PCB officials and players, it will be regrettable.
Stressing the need of the ‘necessary surgery’, Basit said that the team could continue to be eliminated in the first round of future events.
It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan suffered a six wicket defeat against India in the ICC Champions Trophy group A game on Sunday.
