New Zealand beat Pakistan by 9 wickets in 5-game T20 series opener

New Zealand outclassed Pakistan by 9 wickets in the first T20 match.

In the match played at the Hagley Oval ground in Christchurch, New Zealand easily achieved the target of 92 runs given by Pakistan in the 11th over for the loss of one wicket.

Tim Cyfert scored 44 runs for New Zealand, while Finn Allen scored 29 and Tim Robinson remained unbeaten on 18 runs. Abrar Ahmed took one wicket for Pakistan.

Earlier, the New Zealand captain won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first, but the visitors only managed to score 91 runs.

Pakistan’s batting line-up against New Zealand was in trouble from the start of the match and 4 Players of Pakistan returned to the pavilion for just 14 runs.

Openers Mohammad Haris and Hasan Nawaz were dismissed for zero, Irfan Khan scored one run and Shadab Khan scored 3 runs.

Abdul Samad, Mohammad Ali and Hassan Nawaz made their debuts for Pakistan.

For New Zealand, Jacob Duffy took 4 wickets, Kyle Jamieson 3 and Ish Sodhi took 2 wickets.
