Trent Alexander-Arnold agrees to join Real Madrid: report

Star Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold ha reportedly agree to join Spanish giants Real Madrid in the upcoming transfer window after turning down the contract extension.
The England international has been on the reigning Champions League holders radar to settle their defense woes.
According to Marca, Alexander-Arnold has rejected Liverpool’s contract extension offer and is set to leave the Premier League leader for free this summer.
Moreover, Sky Sports in Switzerland reported that the buccaneering full-back has given his word to Los Blancos that he will be heading to Spain.
The La Liga giants had initially attempted to sign him in January following Dani Carvajal’s injury, but Liverpool opted to retain him for their Premier League title push.
With just two month remaining, his departure appears to be confirmed.
He is one of three senior Liverpool players who are running out of their contract this summer. Other two are Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
Los Blancos view him as an ideal long-term replacement at right-back. He would link up with England teammate Jude Bellingham, a main member in current Madrid lot.
Once at Santiago Bernabeu, he will supposedly agree a deal that is worth €15 million (£13m/$16m) a year – which represents a sizeable increase on his current contract at Liverpool.
He is also due “attractive performance bonuses as well as a signing bonus that is equivalent to a reasonable transfer fee”.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are looking to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong to replace their right-back.
Arne Slot is eager to bring his fellow Dutchman to England, with a “personal approach” being favoured.
