Who is Karachi Kings Fawad Ali?

Fawad Ali, a rising star for the Karachi Kings in PSL, has opened up about his inspiring journey in cricket and the dreams he holds for his family.

In a recent interview, Fawad, a bowling all-rounder from Swat (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), shared that his biggest wish is to give his father—who works as a labourer—a comfortable and happy life.

Fawad’s cricket career began with tape-ball matches in Swat, where there were very few facilities for proper training. He got his big break through the Swat Talent Hunt Program in 2023, which led to his move to Karachi for professional coaching.

He made his PSL debut on April 12 at the National Stadium in Karachi in a match against Multan Sultans. Fawad said he wasn’t nervous at all during the game, mainly because of the support he received from teammates like Captain David Warner and Hasan Ali.

Fawad proudly said, “I belong to Swat, and my father is a labourer. It’s an honor to represent Karachi Kings.” He added, “I want to give my parents a life full of comfort, and I’m putting in my best effort for the team.”

Last season, he was also in the squad as a backup for Tim Seifert, who couldn’t join due to international duty.
