Sunrisers Hyderabad send players on a vacation in middle of IPL

With almost a week before their next IPL match, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) management decided to send the entire team, along with the support staff, on a retreat to the Maldives.

SRH’s campaign in the 2025 IPL season is hanging by a thread, with the 2016 champions securing just three wins from nine matches, placing them eighth on the points table.

Following their five-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday, the management organized the retreat. The team arrived in the Maldives on Saturday, with the franchise sharing a video of their arrival, captioned: “Sun, sea, and a team retreat for our Risers in the Maldives!”

The SRH players and support staff are expected to return to India early next week, with their next match against the Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad scheduled for May 2.

They are likely to land in Ahmedabad by April 30.
