Watch: Haris Rauf Responds to Indian Taunts With ‘6-0’ Gesture

In the second match of the Asia Cup T20 Super Four stage, Pakistan’s fast bowler Haris Rauf faced taunts from Indian spectators. However, he won the hearts of Pakistani fans by responding to the hooting in an unusual manner.

According to details, while India was batting and Haris was fielding at the boundary, he reacted to the alleged slogans of Indian spectators by making a “6-0” gesture with his fingers. He also acted as if flying and crashing an airplane.

National media linked Haris’s response to the May incident when, during the Pakistan-India war, Pakistan shot down six Indian aircraft — an event that had stirred a storm on social media.

Haris Rauf’s move drew mixed reactions online. Pakistani users termed his gesture “historic,” while Indian users expressed strong anger.

It is noteworthy that in May, during a ceremony, the Pakistan Air Force had stated that in “Operation Truth” six Indian aircraft were downed, giving the Pakistan Air Force a “6-0” lead over the Indian Air Force. Haris’s gesture is being seen as a reminder of that incident.
