Former Pakistan Test cricketer Wazir Mohammad has passed away at the age of 95 in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

A prominent figure from Pakistan’s early cricketing era, Wazir Mohammad was the elder brother of legendary cricketer Hanif Mohammad. He played a significant role in shaping the national team’s identity during its formative years.

Wazir represented Pakistan in 20 Test matches, scoring 801 runs. Known for his solid batting technique and composed temperament, he was instrumental in establishing Pakistan’s credibility on the international cricket stage during the 1950s and 1960s.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed profound grief over his demise and acknowledged his enduring impact on the game.
