ACC President Mohsin Naqvi Responds to BCCI on Asia Cup 2025 Trophy
Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi has replied to a letter from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) about the Asia Cup 2025 trophy.
The BCCI had asked Naqvi to hand over the trophy to the Indian team, who won the tournament. However, Naqvi said the trophy will only be given during a formal ceremony.
The ACC has proposed holding the trophy presentation on November 10, in the first week of November. Naqvi also made it clear that only BCCI officials and one player can attend to receive the trophy.
After India’s win, the team did not receive the trophy from Naqvi at the final. Instead, the trophy was sent back to the ACC office.
Naqvi previously told the BCCI that if the Indian captain wanted the trophy, he should come to his office to collect it.
It is important to note that Mohsin Naqvi is also the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistan’s Interior Minister.
